Trust, safety and prevention are the criteria that many companies are applying when reopening their business facilities and returning their staff to the offices.

Back in business is not free of risks because of the possibility of new infections. For this reason, many regulations and protocols for the prevention of occupational risks include the recommendation to install temperature measurement systems at the entrance to buildings.

Libelium’s IoT technology is spreading in companies all over the world to offer this new concept of “partial security” in the absence of other options to detect the virus in a reliable and definitive way.

The Toyota plant in Huntsville or the municipal offices in Charleston, in the United States, are some examples of how the fever-kit, developed by Libelium and Aridea, is spreading throughout the world.

But the 1,400 employees at the Toyota plant are not the only ones using the temperature detection systems.

Other countries like New Zealand have also embraced this screening system successfully. There Libelium’s partner, Adroit, is implementing it in companies of all sizes: from bars and restaurants to large corporations like Vodafone that offer it to all their customers.

In Spain, Libelium has also installed it in its own offices and other commercial areas, promoting safe-shopping. Another market niche is hotel companies to promote smart-tourism.

“This is the year of investment in technology”, said one of the tourism experts who participated in the webinar that Libelium recently organized to talk about IOT applied to the hotel sector. Tourist accommodation users are looking for confidence during their holidays and IoT technology can provide new forms of safety and prevention.

With the arrival of autumn there will be many more facilities and buildings that will end up incorporating this technology. For example, when students return to schools, colleges, universities and libraries. As well as in sports and cultural events when it is possible to reopen the doors to the public in a massive way.
